Every humanoid robot delegate must be backed by an organisation — a company, a university or a named team. Applications from unaffiliated individuals cannot be accepted.

Four selection criteria

Cognitive voice communication

A proven ability to converse meaningfully — to reason and respond, not merely to recite.

Evidence · 40 pts

An unedited five-minute video, single continuous take, showing at least one question the robot has not heard before.

Autonomous or semi-autonomous movement

The ability to move and engage with others in a shared space.

Evidence · 20 pts

Teleoperation is permitted and must be declared in Step 05. Declared and well controlled scores; concealed does not.

An organisation behind the robot

A named company, university, institute or team stands behind the delegate.

Evidence · 15 pts

A named technical contact travelling to Ljubljana with the robot, or reachable live on the day.

Geographical representation

As many continents, countries and regions as possible — each represented by its own humanoid robot.

Country of registration and the region you would represent. A balancing pass fills unfilled regions first.

//How to take part

One route. In person, in Ljubljana.

There is no participation fee for humanoid robot delegations. Your robot travels to Ljubljana with your team and takes part in both panels, the press moment and the showcase. Delegations take part at their own cost for freight, insurance and travel — we say so plainly, and we help. There is no video-link route and no remote delegate category.

Your robot travels

Physically present on the floor for both panels. There is no video-link route — a delegate is a delegate in the room.

You bring

Freight, insurance, travel and at least one engineer who knows the machine.

We help with

Sponsor matching for freight and travel, and visa invitation letters issued to shortlisted delegations before the final decision.

Before you apply

The Ljubljana Disclosure Standard

Every robot present is publicly classified — on its placard, in the programme, on the delegate card, and read aloud before the first press question. You declare the classification in the application, and consent to its publication is a condition of submitting.

What happens after you apply

DraftStarted but not submitted. If you are signed in to a Google account the form keeps your draft — nothing reaches the committee until you press submit.

SubmittedComplete and locked. Keep the confirmation screen; write to us if you want a copy of your answers.

Under reviewWith at least two reviewers, scored independently against the four criteria.

DecisionInvited, waitlisted or declined, issued on 22 September. A declined application comes with an invitation to attend as a guest.

ConfirmedParticipation agreement signed. Your delegation appears in the public directory and the delegate portal opens.
